WATERPROOF WATCH?

If your watch is waterproof then it will most likely need new seals and then a pressure test. We do this here on-site, it generally takes no more than about 20 minutes. or so.

Pressure testing is a crucial procedure performed on watches to ensure their resistance to water and other environmental factors. During a pressure test, a watch is subjected to varying levels of pressure to simulate real-world conditions and assess its ability to maintain water resistance.

The process typically involves placing the watch in a specialized pressure chamber, which is capable of replicating different water depths or pressures. The chamber is then sealed, and the pressure is gradually increased to predetermined levels, often measured in units of atmospheres (ATM) or meters of water resistance (m/ft). This step allows US to evaluate whether the timepiece meets the claimed water resistance rating.

*Please note, we can only carry out a pressure test to a maximum of 100m (10ATM) which is more than enough for most people…. unless you are a deep sea diver ofcourse!

Battery Replacement Steps

Clean the case back and check for any damage
Remove caseback and existing battery
Check battery voltage level
Replace Battery
Check all functions and set time date etc
Grease and replace seals where required and close the case up
Carry out pressure test if required

Just about any brand. We very rarely say “sorry we cant do that!”

MY WATCH IS WATERPROOF, CAN YOU STILL CHANGE IT?

Yes ofcourse, we can change the battery then replace the seal and pressure test your watch to check water resistance. PLEASE NOTE though, we can only pressure test to a maximum of 100 meters (10ATM) this is perfectly adequate for 99% of people…. unless you are a deep sea diver ofcourse!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Most ofd the time, we can carry out a battery replacement while you wait. If you require re-sealing and pressure testing that will take a little longer. We’d probably ask you to leave your watch with us for maybe 30 minutes.

You are welcome to leave the watch with us and go off and do some shopping or have lunch etc.

I HAVE MY OWN BATTERY, WILL YOU PUT IT IN FOR ME?

Sorry but no, we only use Renata branded batteries when we carry out battery replacements. When we do a battery replacement you are paying for the service, not the battery.
